Stocky readiness checklist
Stocky retires on August 31, 2026. Getting ready takes five steps: export your Stocky CSV, write down your supplier lead times, connect a planning app to your Shopify store, confirm the reorder point on each product, and save a purchase order template for each supplier. Work through them at your own pace.

How to use it
- Export your Stocky CSV. Open the inventory or stock counts area in Stocky and export to CSV. Save it somewhere you will find it again. This is your record of products, stock levels and supplier notes as they stand today.
- Write down your supplier lead times. Lead time is the one planning input Shopify has never stored, so it lives in your head or a spreadsheet. List each supplier and the number of days they actually take. This is what makes a reorder point accurate.
- Connect a planning app to your store. Connect the app you plan to use to your Shopify store so it can read your catalogue, stock levels and sales history. Replinish connects read-only and changes nothing in your store.
- Confirm the reorder point on each product. Review the reorder point suggested for each product against what you know about it. Adjust the lead time or buffer where your own judgement differs, so the list reflects reality before you rely on it.
- Save a purchase order template per supplier. Set up a purchase order template for each supplier once, with their contact details, currency and terms. Future reorders then start from a filled form rather than a blank one.

Questions merchants ask
When does Stocky retire?
Shopify has published August 31, 2026 as the date Stocky closes. Working through your migration before then means the switch happens on a quiet week of your choosing rather than in the middle of a reorder.
What should I export from Stocky before then?
Your products with their SKUs and current stock levels, and anything you keep in Stocky that does not live in Shopify: supplier names, lead times, costs and minimum order quantities. SKU is the key that lines your rows up with Shopify variants afterwards.
Does Shopify's own admin cover what Stocky did?
Shopify's admin covers tracking stock across locations, transfers and adjustments, and basic purchase orders. What it does not do is forecast demand or set a reorder point per product, so that is the gap most merchants are filling.
How long does the move take?
The parts you control are quick: the export is a few minutes, and connecting a planner and letting it read your history is one sitting. The part worth time is confirming the lead times and reorder points, because every number downstream depends on them.
