How to use it
- Export your Stocky data to CSV. In Stocky, open the inventory or stock counts area and choose to export to CSV. Save the file somewhere handy. Any header order works here, and the SKU column is found automatically.
- Paste the rows in, or load the sample. Paste a few rows into the box below, or choose the CSV file from your computer. The file is read on your own device by your browser. Nothing is uploaded, sent or stored anywhere.
- Match by SKU. The tool finds the SKU column, along with name, vendor, on-hand and reorder point columns where they exist, and lists each row as it would line up with a Shopify product or variant.
- Fix any rows without a SKU. Rows with a blank SKU cannot be matched to anything, so they are skipped. Fill those in before you import for real, and any row already at or below its reorder point is flagged in the summary.

Questions merchants ask
Is my CSV uploaded anywhere?
No. The matcher runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, sent to a server or stored. You can disconnect from the network and it still works.
Which column names does it recognise?
For the SKU it accepts sku, sku_code, variant sku or code. It also looks for name, title, product, item or description; vendor, supplier or brand; on_hand, on hand, quantity, qty, stock or available; and reorder_point, reorder point, rop or min. Header order does not matter.
Why does matching happen on SKU rather than on product name?
Because SKU is unique per variant and product names are not. Two variants of one product share a name but never a SKU, and a name can be edited without breaking anything. Matching on SKU keeps every variant and its supplier notes in the right place.
What happens to rows that do not have a SKU?
They are skipped rather than guessed at. If a row has no SKU there is nothing to match it against, and inventing a match would put stock levels on the wrong product. The summary counts only the rows that matched.
